"Rock Till You Drop" Wins National Award!
Rock Till You Drop, a groove and boogie marathon to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Memory of Samantha Lehman, epitomizes the definitions of team work, service, leadership, and community. After a tragic loss of the Samantha, Centennial Court C and D Hall Council designed a program that would not only help strengthen the Kent State Residence Hall community, but also spread awareness of the disease that took Samantha and raise funds to wipe out Cystic Fibrosis! Participants were invited to boogie the night away with a suggested donation of $2 and were given a purple ribbon to show their support
Rock Till You Drop is set to become an annual program as a way to remember the contributions of an amazing student leader, educate the community, and financially support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Rock Till You Drop was selected as a Regional “Community Service Program Of The Month” Award Winner, which is selected through the regional organization, CAACURH. The nomination was then submitted to the national organization, NACURH, and it was selected as the National “Community Service Program Of The Month” Award Winner. The Award was chosen out of 86 nominations.
