Listening Posts

Listening Posts are sponsored by the Division of Human Resources and provide an informal way for employees to share their interests and concerns with leadership and Kent State. This past year, Employee Relations and Development has scheduled more than 40 Listening Posts throughout the Regional Campuses and within departments of the Kent Campus.

Listening Posts do not have a specific agenda; participants are free to come and go as they please. Listening Posts are intended to be responsive to what employees want to discuss.

The locations are intended to be convenient, comfortable and near where employees work. They are conducted several times each month at all eight campuses. Employees are encouraged to offer their comments and suggestions about ways to improve operations, productivity or the workplace climate.

Human Resources staff members present record the key points of the discussion and offer information and perspectives as appropriate.
