Additive Manufacturing (online Micro-Credential)

Individuals who earn the 3D Printing Micro-Credential will learn about the construction and use of 3D Printers and be involved in hands-on experience in building one from a kit themselves through our MERT 21096 INDIVIDUAL INVESTIGATION IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY online course.  In addition, an understanding of the plastics commonly used 3D Printers will be investigated in our ENGT 32101 POLYMERS I online course.  Here a description of various polymers, thermoplastics and thermosets is investigated, as well as the processes used to produce plastic products.
