Information Services’ TechHelp support is readily available whenever and wherever you need it. TechHelp.kent.edu is the online home for all of TechHelp’s services. Find support via phone, chat, the Web, or a campus walk-up location.


24/7 Online and Phone Support

Helpdesk technical assistance is available 24/7 through the online portal and via phone, to all Kent State students, on all campuses.

    • Get answers to tech questions using self-service articles
    • Get password, login, and FlashLine assistance
    • Submit online support requests

Kent Campus Support

TechHelp: Service and Repair Center

The TechHelp Service and Repair Center provides in-person support for your computers, laptops, and mobile devices.

There are two convenient locations, in the Business Administration Building (Room A220) and the Tri-Towers Rotunda. Both locations offer a full range of support for most desktops and laptops including:

    • Hardware repair, installation, and part ordering
    • Virus and spyware removal
    • Software and operating system troubleshooting
    • Network, wireless, and login support
    • iPad repair
    • Data backup and recovery (includes mobile and removable devices)
    • Apple- and Dell-authorized warranty service

Most repairs are performed on-site within a short time frame. Walk-ins are welcome—no appointment necessary!

  • TechHelp: Tech2You

    In cooperation with the Service and Repair Center, Tech2You provides troubleshooting for cable TV, wireless, and other basic technical support. Technicians also perform routine scans to test the wireless signal strength in the residence halls.

    Evenings and Weekends

    Tech2You mobile support is also available in the evenings and weekends for all residence halls. Find more information at TechHelp.kent.edu.

  • TechHelp: Library Technology Helpdesk

    The Library Technology Helpdesk, located on the first floor beside the Library Reference Desk, provides walk-up assistance for students with basic technology issues. The desk is staffed by TechHelp employees during regular semester hours.

  • Walk-Up Wednesdays

    Information Services employees are available on a walk-up basis to answer technology questions and provide one-on-one support. No appointment needed!
