Instructional Tools - Camtasia

This service is to request a license key for Camtasia, which is a screencasting application, allowing faculty to capture their desktop image while recording their own audio. The final output is in the form of a video file.

Information Services works to secure licensing for tools that support teaching and learning, including Camtasia.

How to request this service

Please download the Camtasia software trial version from techsmith.com

When you are close to the end of the 30 day trial (with 5 to 7 days left), submit the Camtasia Request Form The Educational Technology group will add you to their system and email you instructions for accessing the license code.

NOTE: Due to limited number of licenses, only one license per instructor will be provided (even if you use multiple computers). Please select your primary computer (PC or Mac) that you would like to request the Camtasia license for.

  • Request Type, "Blackboard Learn and Lockdown Browser"
  • Blackboard Learn Request Detail: "Other"
