Systems Design Consultation

Design hardware, software, and infrastructure for applications. Consultation can include assessment and recommendations for performance, availability, and recovery needs of the application or business function. We can provide written quotes and proposals that meet the requirements agreed upon during the consultation.

Costs associated with this service

No charge for consultation. There may be costs associated with the implementation of the solution.

How to request this service

Submit a Support Ticket at support.kent.edu. Choose the following:

  • Request Type: Shared Drives, File Shares, and Backups
  • Shared Drive Detail: Create New File Shares Service

or call 330-672-HELP (4357).

MOTE: This service is provided in order to support official university functions. It may be requested by any person responsible for implementing or maintaining a service in support of university business.

Service delivery process

Expected response time for acknowledgement:
Requests are immediately acknowledged by the helpdesk system. Acknowledgement of a request will be received within 3 business days from an IS representative.

Expected response time for fulfillment:
A representative from IS Server Support will contact the requestor for additional technical information.

Service delivery hours:
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Excluding university breaks
