Kent State University's complete computer care center, The Tech Spot @ ResNet, is now certified to perform Apple computer warranty support for all students, faculty and staff. Members of the Kent State University community can begin bringing their personally-owned computers in for service starting in April. Warranty service is available through the AppleCare Protection Plan, available for all Macintosh hardware.
The Tech Spot employs two Apple certified technicians who are trained specifically in Apple warranty service. These technicians can order parts directly from Apple and perform labor, including hardware installation, repair, and Mac OS X troubleshooting.
Mac users can visit The Tech Spot web site at http://techspot.kent.edu for more information about AppleCare warranty support. Customers can check their computer's current warranty coverage by visiting Apple's web site at www.apple.com/support or by visiting The Tech Spot in the Tri-Towers Rotunda on the Kent Campus.
The Tech Spot's Apple support certification comes in addition to the Dell Customer Appointed Service Provider certification it has held since June 2010, making the center a robust service choice for many of the popular computer brands on campus.
