JOEY, TECHnician
Joey is a graduate student and this is his 4th year at The Tech Spot (fifth at Kent State). His bachelor's degree was in Computer Technology with an associate's degree in Applied Business. He's currently studying for a master's in Computer Technology. He's worked with The Tech Spot since Fall 2008.

NOAH, TECHnician
Noah is a third year student majoring in Computer Information Systems. He hopes to work in IT management or enterprise systems after receiving his degree. He's worked with The Tech Spot since Spring 2011.

ERIC, TECHnician
Eric is a junior Computer Science major and Applied Math minor at Kent State. After school he hopes to write code or perhaps go to grad school. He's worked with The Tech Spot since Fall 2011.

NATHAN, TECHnician
Nathan is a senior Digital Sciences major with a minor in Computer Information Systems. After graduation, he'd like to work in IT and user experience / web design. He's worked with The Tech Spot since Fall 2011.
Favorite TECHnology: Powerful GPUs, high resolution displays, the Internet
Fun facts: "I play lots of guitar, especially metal and progressive rock, love basketball and spontaneous traveling."

JOSH, TECHnician
Josh is a junior Computer Information Systems major, minoring in Criminology and Justice Studies. He wants to go into cyber crimes when he's finished when school. He's also Comptia A+ certified. He's worked with The Tech Spot since Fall 2012.

KATELYN, TECHnician
Katelyn is a junior Computer Science and Photo Illustration major. She plans to find a job that she enjoys and that allows time for travel after graduation. She's worked with The Tech Spot since Fall 2012.

Fun Facts: I'm an avid runner and outdoor enthusiast. I also enjoy singing and playing my ukulele.

CHANCE, TECHnician
Chance is a sophomore Computer Science major with a minor in Mathematics. After graduation he'd like to go into video game design. He's worked with The Tech Spot since Fall 2012.

Fun Facts: I rode a giraffe once and I can speak German. I'd like to live in Switzerland someday.

RON DEAR, IT User Support Analyst
Ron is responsible for supervising the students working at Tech at Night, as well as assisting and supervising students at The Tech Spot. He continually helps to improve the customer service and quality of technology services at Kent State. He's worked with The Tech Spot since the summer of 2012.
Favorite TECHnology: Arduino and all the open source hardware that goes with it
Fun Facts: I really enjoy programming and especially like developing little web applications that keep track of data and display it in a useful manner.

MIKE CARSON, Sr. IT User Support Analyst
Mike received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Kent State University in Computer Technology with a Networking concentration. He's worked full time for The Tech Spot since 2008, overseeing operations and managing warranty computer repair and processing.

WENDY SHIH, Manager of Information Technology
Wendy has been with Kent State University for 15 years. She holds an MBA in Management & Information Systems. At The Tech Spot, she works to smooth out the wrinkles, strategize, plan, implement, promote, hire and oversee operations. She also manages the online and phone operations of Kent State University's Technology Help Line (672-HELP), the Online Technology Support Center (support.kent.edu) and the Technology Helpdesk.
