Digital Media Production majors gain first-hand experience in all aspects of single camera and live multi-camera production - including shooting, audio recording, editing, writing, directing and producing digital films and live television. Film styles covered in the Digital Media Production degree program include narrative fiction, documentary, commercial and corporate productions. Students interested in live television study news, sports, and entertainment programs in our own high-definition studio, as well as cover live events in the College's million-dollar remote production truck. Many Kent State School of Journalism and Mass Communication graduates work in the broadcasting, motion picture, video, and sound recording industries. Others are employed in industry, producing employee communication, sales and training programs. (This major was previously named Electronic Media prior to Fall 2014.)
