Lori Cantor is a 20-year veteran in Student Media and the manager, Student Media. She graduated from the school in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in telecommunications and a minor in journalism.
Lori spent many years in the industry with her first professional position as the Sky Watch traffic reporter for WAKR in Akron. She flew in the skies over Akron twice a day, during morning and evening rush hours, for several years keeping commuters out of traffic jams and warning of hazardous road conditions.
She went on to work in the advertising field at Time-Warner Cable, Diversa Advertising, Inc. and Ohio Magazine. Lori returned to Kent State in 1993 to become the first full-time advertising manager with a mission to increase advertising revenue for Student Media. She hired, trained and managed a student sales force, many of which have gone on to successful media sales careers. In 2002 Lori advanced to the position of manager, Student Media.
