Kent State Board of Trustees Approves New Contract for Tenured and Tenured-Track Faculty

UPDATED JAN. 25, 2016: AAUP-KSU's membership have voted and ratified the new contract. With approval by both the Board of Trustees and the AAUP-KSU, the ratification process is complete. The successor collective bargaining agreement with the tenured and tenure-track faculty is effective Aug. 19, 2015, through Aug. 18, 2018.

 

The Kent State University Board of Trustees held a special meeting today (Jan. 20, 2016) to ratify a new three-year, collective bargaining agreement between the university and full-time, tenured and tenure-track faculty, who are represented by the American Association of University Professors-Kent State Chapter. The Board unanimously approved the new contract.

AAUP-KSU’s membership is voting on the tentative agreement today through Friday. Approval by the Board of Trustees and the AAUP-KSU completes the ratification process. The successor collective bargaining agreement with the tenured and tenure-track faculty will be effective Aug. 19, 2015, through Aug. 18, 2018.
