The Kent Student Center offers many amenities for event and conference planners. Numerous dining options on-campus are available for groups of different sizes and preferences.
Should you desire, the University Conference Bureau will be happy to coordinate a meeting between you and our housing representative to discuss your housing questions and concerns. To view sample rooms in each building visit Residence Services and click on the appropriate hall.
Parking rates for people being housed on campus are $3.00 per day/$10.00 per week/$40.00 entire summer. Let your conference coordinator know how many parking permits you will need so they can be prepared and ready upon your arrival. Special arrangements can be made should you need to distribute parking permits prior to your arrival and check in. We do not recommend distribution prior to arrival because participants have a tendency to “forget/lose” them and you are charged for the total number received and not returned. Rates for the KSC visitor lot vary. Please contract your coordinator should parking be needed in this location.
Student Recreation & Wellness Center
If your schedule provides “free time” for your participants and you are interested in utilizing the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SWRC), please let your conference coordinator know. For liability reasons, the Student Recreation and Wellness Center can no longer permit individuals/groups to utilize their facility on a “walk in” basis. Recreation Passes must be ordered two weeks in advance. Cost per pass is $6.00 per person/per day. Special event pricing is available - ask your coordinator for details.
Kent State University is located in historic Kent, OH and just a short walk down the Lefton Esplanade. Downtown Kent is full of charming shops, galleries, and unique destinations. There are many activities to do both on and off-campus, which makes Kent State University an excellent host for events and conferences.
