Ohio SBDC Sponsors QuickBooks TrainingPosted Aug. 5, 2011
The Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Kent State University at Stark* is sponsoring training sessions on QuickBooks accounting software. Each one-day training session will be held at The University Center at Kent State Stark, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township.
The fee of $119 for each QuickBooks session includes the training, continental breakfast, morning and afternoon break service and lunch. Space is limited to 20 participants per session.
QuickBooks I for beginners will be offered on Friday, Oct. 21 and Friday, Oct. 28, 2011. Each program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Depending on space availability, registrations for the Oct. 21 session will be accepted through Oct. 14 and registrations for the Oct. 28 session will be accepted through Oct. 21.
Create your company’s books from scratch. Learn how to navigate this software efficiently and effectively. Begin by creating a company file from scratch and learn to create invoices, record bills, manage accounts receivable and payable, manage sales tax and manage cash. This class is interactive so bring your specific QuickBooks questions.
QuickBooks II for advanced users will be offered on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011. The program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Depending on space availability, registrations will be accepted through Sept. 23.
Would you like to get the most out of your QuickBooks software? Then join us to discover how to customize QuickBooks to your business. Discover the intricacies of QuickBooks. In this class, you will learn how to set up and use the payroll feature, how to track inventory, record credit card transactions and track income and expenses by location or product line. Learn how to effectively use QuickBooks to budget your company’s finances and how to protect and share your QuickBooks data file. This program is designed for business professionals with a basic understanding of QuickBooks or those who have completed the QuickBooks for Beginners class.
Registrations and payment for the information session must be made online at www.CantonSBDC.org. Click on QuickBooks and make your choice of program and available date. An optional reference book for use at home/office is available and may be added at checkout for an additional $51. The instructor does not use this book, but it does provide step-by-step instructions for those desiring to take home additional information. The book also encompasses QuickBooks II.
