Applications for the full-time day and part-time evening/weekend Basic Peace Officer training, starting August 25, 2008 are still being accepted, but space is extremely limited. Please contact Mr. Jim Owens, Police Academy Commander at (330) 672-0325 or e-mail jowens6@kent.edu ASAP.
The LEEC has begun accepting applications for Spring, 2009 full-time Basic Peace Officer training.
The LEEC will also be offering OPOTC Private Security training starting in January, 2009. Applications are currently being accepted.

The Law Enforcement Education Center is a cooperative effort between the College of Continuing Studies and the Department of Justice Studies. The Center is committed to offering the best police training available in the Portage/Summit county area. Instructors have been selected to provide cadets with the best possible instruction in their areas of expertise.

To better meet the needs of interested individuals, Basic Peace Officer training is available either full-time (days) or part-time (evening/weekend).
