2023 Alumni Awards
For 65 years, the Kent State Alumni Awards have been celebrating the university’s most accomplished graduates. Established in 1958, the Alumni Awards recognize alumni who, through leadership, character and hard work, have made exceptional contributions in their chosen profession, in their communities and at the university. Sponsored by the Kent State Alumni Association, these awards are the university’s highest alumni honors.
“The individuals we are celebrating this year are truly remarkable people,” says Andrea Gauding, BBA ’87, president, Kent State Alumni Association National Board of Directors. “Each of them represent the best of Kent State in all they do and have made a profound impact at the university and around the world.”
On Oct. 20, the 2023 award recipients were honored in a ceremony at the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center during Homecoming Weekend. This class of nine alumni (including two Class of 2023 graduates) and one current student, were honored in six award categories.
