Thursday, August 14:  Picnic at (around) 5pm in the Fred Fuller Park.
On Thursday August 14 we are planning to have a picnic in the Fred Fuller Park, which is in Kent (just a few minutes drive from the department).  Please, bring your families! If you have a car we would also appreciate you help with driving.
Sunday, August 17: Trip to the Blossom Festival.
On Sunday August 17 we will have a trip the  Blossom Music Center (Blossom Festival).   We are planning to attend the concert which starts at 7:00 pm: Blossom Favorites Blossom Festival Orchestra Loras John Schissel, conductor Blossom Favorites Loras John Schissel offers up a delightful smorgasbord of music perfect for a summer night. From opera overtures to John Philip Sousa and Johann Sebastian Bach, plus favorites by Leroy Anderson and John Williams. There's fun for all ages at this entertaining evening, complete with an all-American cook-out and special pre-concert activities for children." You may find more information about Blossom here. We are planning to purchase "lawn tickets" (i.e. you will have to seat on the ground and count the stars). But the sound and atmosphere there are PERFECT! It is inside amazing Cuyahoga Valley National park. This is one of essential Cleveland attractions, we will try to make sure that you would have an opportunity and time to have a hike in the park before the concert (we can not change the weather ... yet) . Yes we will bring some snack and drinks with us to Blossom. There will be a small fee for tickets (13$). If you have a car we would also appreciate you help with driving (25 min. drive and it is free to park in Blossom for ticket holders). Please, let us know if you are interested (we need to know, approximately, how many tickets to buy, the 13$ price is valid if tickets purchased before June 30).
