Advice for Prospective Students
During your first semester of study, you will most likely be advised directly by the Graduate Coordinator. However, during your first year of the program, that student usually receives an initial Academic Advisor based off of our list of Graduate Tenure Track faculty, who will assist and guide the student in course selection and other academic matters. This academic advisor may remain the student's Academic Advisor throughout their degree program, or the student may select a new Academic Advisor more closely related to their own research interests at some later date.
