Upcoming Event: The Tournées French Film Festival

The Tasks of Translation in the Global Context was the theme of the Presidential Forum at the 2009 MLA Annual Convention in Philadelphia . Several IAL/KSU professors (Brian Baer, Carol Maier, Françoise Massardier-Kenney and Kelly Washbourne ) organized sessions or presented in the following panels: “Training Translators in Theory and Practice,” “The Sociological Turn in Translation and Interpretation Studies,” “Comparative Literature, Translation Studies, and the United States Academ: What is the Relation?” and “Literary Translators on source Texts and Translation Practice: A Reading and Discussion”
