Entrepreneurs for Sustainability Founder To Be Featured Solomon Speaker, Feb. 25 (2/13/08)
As part of this year’s Michael D. Solomon Entrepreneurship Speaker Series, Holly Harlan, founder of Entrepreneurs for Sustainability (E4S), will discuss “Sustainability Inspiring New Opportunities” at 6:15 p.m., Feb. 25, in the Kent State University Kiva.
Known as one of Cleveland’s leading economic development professionals, Harlan learned the importance of sustainability at the 2000 Cleveland Green Cleveland Building Coalition. Deciding this concept was not only innovative but imperative to the future of business, she joined forces with other local entrepreneurs who were interested in the same “green” initiative. Together in December 2004, these entrepreneurs formed E4S to steadily increase the application of sustainability into all business practices.
Sponsored by Kent State’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation, the annual speaker series is free and open to the public. Following Harlan’s speech, a reception will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. To register, visit www.kent.edu/academics/solomon/register.cfm.
