Spend an evening with Dr. Stephen Post, author of Why Good Things Happen to Good People, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, in the Kent State University Kiva. An inspiring messenger who talks about the benefits of volunteering, Post will focus on the life-changing benefits of caring, kindness and compassion.
Currently, Post is professor of bioethics and family medicine at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Medicine and has served as a senior research scholar for the Becket Institute at Oxford University. He also is president of the Institute for Research on Unlimited Love, which focuses on the scientific study of phenomena such as altruism, compassion and service.
Sponsored by Kent State University’s Office of the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs and Honors College, the event is free and open to the public. Complementary copies of Post’s book will be given to the first 50 students attending.
