The Kent State University Board of Trustees will hold its next regular meeting Wednesday, Jan. 31.  The Board will convene at 1:30 p.m. in the George Urban Board of Trustees Conference Room, which is located on the second floor of the Kent Campus Library. Board committees will meet as follows:

• Finance and Administration – 7:45-9:15 a.m. in the Urban Conference Room;

• External Relations – 8:15-9:15 a.m. in Room 222;

• Academic Excellence and Student Success – 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Urban Conference Room; and

• Development – 9:30-10:30 a.m. in Room 222.

• Committee of the Whole – 10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. in the Urban Conference Room.

Trustees may retire into executive session during the meeting to consider specific topics as provided for under Ohio's "Sunshine Law."

Kent State President Lester A. Lefton and Board Chair Sandra Harbrecht will be available to answer media questions immediately after the meeting.

The Board also will hold a planning retreat at 4 p.m. on Jan. 30 at the Liquid Crystal Institute on the Kent Campus.  No committee meetings will be held and no votes will be taken.
