Kent State Business College Receives International Reaccreditation of Degree Programs (5/2/08)
Kent State University’s College of Business Administration has achieved reaffirmation of accreditation of all its degree programs this spring by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The college’s business programs have been accredited by AACSB since 1964. AACSB International is the oldest and largest business school accreditation with 555 accredited programs worldwide.
To achieve accreditation, business programs must satisfy the expectations of a wide range of quality standards relating to strategic management of resources, interactions of faculty and students in the educational process, and achievement of learning goals in degree programs. These standards are mission-linked. During the accreditation process, Kent State University’s College of Business Administration was visited and evaluated by business school deans with detailed knowledge of management education, applying accreditation standards that are widely accepted in the educational community.
“This achievement is a team effort, and everyone at the college had a part in our successful reaccreditation,” says Dr. George Stevens, dean of the College of Business Administration and Graduate School of Management.
