A ceremony to celebrate Kent State University’s designation as a Tree Campus USA for the third consecutive year recently took place in front on Engleman Hall as the university also celebrated Arbor Day.
Kent State University congratulates its newest graduates. Spring 2011 Commencement Ceremonies took place Thursday, May 5, and Saturday, May 7. The May 5 evening ceremony for those receiving doctoral degrees was held in the E. Turner Stump Theatre in the Music and Speech Center. Three ceremonies were held May 7 for those receiving master’s and baccalaureate degrees occurred in the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center).
As a way for individuals to remember the events of May 4, 1970, Kent State University will host a series of events and activities to reflect on the 41st anniversary of that historic day.
