May 10, 2011 A ceremony to celebrate Kent State University’s designation as a Tree Campus USA for the third consecutive year recently took place in front on Engleman Hall as the university also celebrated Arbor Day. May 7, 2011 Kent State University congratulates its newest graduates. Spring 2011 Commencement Ceremonies took place Thursday, May 5, and Saturday, May 7. The May 5 evening ceremony for those receiving doctoral degrees was held in the E. Turner Stump Theatre in the Music and Speech Center. Three ceremonies were held May 7 for those receiving master’s and baccalaureate degrees occurred in the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center). May 1, 2011 As a way for individuals to remember the events of May 4, 1970, Kent State University will host a series of events and activities to reflect on the 41st anniversary of that historic day. April 25, 2011 The Kent State University Undergraduate Student Government Programming Board presented Flash Fest, the annual springtime concert, on Thursday, April 28. Local bands kicked off the event for free in Manchester Field. April 20, 2011 While many college students spent their spring breaks relaxing on a beach sipping a cold drink down south, Kent State University freshman Lexi Veri along with 40 other Kent State students spent their spring break in East Liverpool, Ohio.
