August 29, 2011 The fall semester at Kent State University began with Welcome Weekend, a four-day orientation program that took place Aug. 25-28. September 21, 2011 The Kent State University football team returns home Saturday, Sept. 24, to host South Alabama at 3:30 p.m. in Dix Stadium. August 2, 2011 The scene was straight out of a typical business meeting. Men and women sat around a conference table, talking and jotting down ideas. A whiteboard on a nearby wall was filled with writing, and a nearly empty box of donuts sat at the table’s center as members of the group sipped from carry-out coffee cups. To make the experience more fun and welcoming, the Kent InterHall Council (KIC) sponsors the Movers and Groovers program. Each fall during freshman move-in day, Kent State faculty, staff and students volunteer to assist incoming freshmen get settled in their new university accommodations. The speech will be given in the Kent Student Center Kiva. September 21, 2011 This year, parents and families of Kent State University students are invited to take part in a day of fun and football as the university presents Parents’ and Family Day on Saturday, Sept. 24. July 19, 2011 Two Kent State University researchers recently found out that solving an abstract geometry problem can yield unexpected benefits.
