October 19, 2011 Kent State University’s 2011-2012 United Way campaign is underway with the goal to raise $180,000 to impact the local community. This year’s theme is “Shared Passion: Giving Where We Live and Work.†The campaign will run through Dec. 2, with various fundraising opportunities for faculty and staff. October 4, 2011 Kent State University senior Matt Kolic launched Steel Clothing, a fitness and bodybuilding apparel company, in April 2011 and has already seen success. Kolic, 23, is an entrepreneurship major from Canton, Ohio, and expects to graduate from the university in May 2012. The mission of the company is to bring updated fashion to the industry. October 4, 2011 Two-time Pulitzer Prize winner and U.S. Poet Laureate 2010-2011 W.S.
