Kent State University congratulates its newest graduates. Summer 2011 Commencement Ceremonies took place Thursday, Aug. 11, and Saturday, Aug. 13. The Aug. 11 evening ceremony for those receiving doctoral degrees was held in the E. Turner Stump Theatre in the Music and Speech Center. The Aug. 13 ceremony for those receiving master’s and baccalaureate degrees occurred in the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center).Approximately 1,500 degrees were granted from Kent State this summer.
