Nine students from Kent State's College of Business recently met the President of Iceland, His Excellency Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, during their study abroad trip to Europe.  The group also met U.S. Ambassador Robert C. Barber on May 30 as part of their International Experience in Entrepreneurship course.

Katie Kimble has a heart of gold and WKYC TV took notice. Kimble’s random acts of kindness helped her earn the title of “Biggest Winner” on the Channel 3 Morning Show.

Kimble is a strategic shopper who saves her money throughout the year to buy gifts for children who are in need around the Kent State area.  She fills out rebate forms and sells some of her gently worn clothing to buy toys, books and games.

Solomon Speaker Series on Nov. 5. His presentation titled “Laws of Growth, Redefined” is being hosted by the Kent State College of Business Administration’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation.

Kent State University has been awarded a three-year, $444,015 Career Ready Internship Grant from Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation. An anticipated 270 paid internships (169 new and 101 established) will be available during the 2015-2018 academic years.

Internships are an integral component of the higher education experience and are valuable to students as they connect in-class learning to career goals and seek employment after college. Often, college graduates find their first jobs through their internships.
