Kent State University’s Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education is hosting 16 visiting scholars from 11 countries during the spring semester. The visiting scholars are from India, Egypt, Ghana, Indonesia, Brazil, Malaysia, Philippines, South Africa, Bangladesh, Jordan and Morocco.

Schenk, 19, of Port Clinton, Ohio, was discovered unconscious in her residence hall this morning and pronounced dead by the Portage County Coroner’s Office. Schenk, a resident of Wright Hall, was a sophomore majoring in physical education. The cause of death has not been determined, but foul play is not suspected.
