Kent State Airport Reports Safe Emergency Landing (06/13/2009)

The Kent State Airport reported an emergency landing of a Cessna 152 on June 13. The airplane, with student Daniel Dzurec and instructor Rob Dumovic, landed safely when Dumovic took over the controls. An expert in these kind of landings, Dumovic landed the plane on Fishcreek Road in Stow, OH. There were no injuries. There was no damage to the plane.
The university is very proud of Dumovic's expertise and professionalism, which translated to his ability to land the aircraft with a positive resolution.
Dumovic recently earned first place in the SAFECON 2009 Power Off Landing competition.
