Entrepreneurship Immersion Week Applications Due April 17 (04/13/2009)

Are you a college student and an aspiring entrepreneur? Now is your chance to apply your skills and knowledge in the development of a company, without the risk. Kent State’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Development, along with the Entrepreneurship Education Consortium, will be hosting the 2009 Entrepreneurship Immersion Week from August 9-14. Five students plus two alternates will be chosen to represent Kent State. These students will compete against students from other colleges to present the best business concept. Applications are due Friday, April 17, 2009.

Students from Ashland University, Baldwin Wallace College, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland State University, John Carroll University and the University of Akron will be coming to Kent State to participate in this event.

The week-long event will consist of academic sessions, networking opportunities and the creation of a business concept as part of the competition. Judged by an outside panel of entrepreneurs and investors, the group of students with the best business concept will win an award package consisting of cash and in-kind gifts.

Students interested should go to http://business.kent.edu/cebi/student comp.aspx to secure an application. Applications must be received in hard copy by April 17, 2009, at the College of Business Administration, room 320 BSA, or in the John S. Brinzo Lab.
