Kent State University Introduces a Specialized MBA Program for Health Care Executives (07/30/2009)

To support the substantial health care industry in Northeast Ohio, Kent State University is launching a new MBA program for health care executives. All courses in the program include health care content and are taught by teams of professors and health care practitioners. The curriculum will prepare students for careers as administrators of health care organizations.

The program is designed for the busy lives of experienced health care professionals. Classes meet once a month at the University Center on the Kent State Stark Campus, located at 6000 Frank Ave. NW in North Canton. Class sessions begin Thursday evening and run through Saturday afternoon. Assignments and other lectures and class discussions take place online. Participants complete their degrees in 21 months.

According to Robert Krampf, academic program coordinator for the College of Business Administration and Graduate School of Management, “Kent State’s new MBA for Health Care Executives is one of very few such programs offered in the United States. It’s designed to help experienced professionals in the health care industry expand their business knowledge in a health care context and advance their careers.”

Classes begin October 14, 2009. To learn more about this new program or to register for an upcoming information session, interested health care professionals can visit www.kentemba.info/healthcare.
