Keep singing in your life; Join the Kent State Men's ChorusPosted Jul, 28, 2010
The Kent State University Men's Chorus would like to invite you to join us for the 2010-2011 Season. Known as one of Ohio's top performing choral ensembles the Men's Chorus is also a student organization that is dedicated to singing quality music of all types while representing Kent State nationally through tours and conference appearances.
The Men's Chorus is made of non-music majors and music majors alike who love to sing and enjoy great friendship within the university. The past few years have been exciting times as we have built a strong tradition of men's chorus singing at Kent State University with performances in 10 states, and appearances at both state and national conferences over the last few years. The chorus rehearses from 2:15 to 3:05 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons at the Music & Speech Building and performs several times each semester on- and off-campus. We collaborate regularly with the Kent State University Women's Chorus and other choirs, and we will be touring to schools and churches each semester this year along with a proposed tour to Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, and the Carolinas this spring. But more importantly, the Men's Chorus is not just another class; it is an organization that allows you to make friends from across campus, have a great time singing good music, and earn college credit all at once.
Be an important part of the tradition! Join the Kent State University Men's Chorus by registering for MUS 45142 (MUS 55142 for graduate students) for this Fall Semester.
You can also obtain more information at the Reception for Prospective New Singers on August 29 at 3:00 p.m. in room 204 in the Student Center where you can make new friends and enjoy some refreshments!
