Trystero New Music Concerts Showcase Kent State Compositions

Trystero New Music continues its 2009-2010 concert series with performances this semester. The mission of Trystero New Music is to promote and perform new music by young, living composers.
Dorian Wallace, artistic director; David Kulma, music director; and Jason W. Clark, assistant music director, created the group last summer as a way to focus on Kent State composers. All three are composition majors at the university.
The series began with three concerts in the fall semester. The remaining concerts are:
• Chamber Jazz: Thursday, Feb. 11, at 8 p.m. CANCELED
• Art Songs: Saturday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m.
• String Orchestra: Sunday, April 11, time TBD
All performances are free and open to the public. They are held in Ludwig Recital Hall on the Kent State main campus. For more information about the series, call the School of Music’s concert hotline at 330-672-3609.
