Kent State Presents Programs to Celebrate Black Heritage Month

Kent State University is celebrating Black Heritage Month by hosting educational, entertaining and uplifting programs now through March.

KSU-NAACP is hosting a Def Poetry Slam from 7 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 8 in the Kent Student Center Kiva. It will feature spoken word artists Black Ice and Sunni Patterson. The event is free for students with ID and $5 for general admission.

Kent African Student Association is presenting African Nights from 7 to 10 p.m. on March 19 in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. This event will feature special guests Dr. George Fraser and the Universal African Dance & Drum Ensemble.
