Kent State Presents Programs to Celebrate Black Heritage Month
Posted Jan, 29, 2010Kent State University is celebrating Black Heritage Month by hosting educational, entertaining and uplifting programs now through March.
KSU-NAACP is hosting a Def Poetry Slam from 7 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 8 in the Kent Student Center Kiva. It will feature spoken word artists Black Ice and Sunni Patterson. The event is free for students with ID and $5 for general admission.
Kent African Student Association is presenting African Nights from 7 to 10 p.m. on March 19 in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. This event will feature special guests Dr. George Fraser and the Universal African Dance & Drum Ensemble.
