The Spirit of Women in Business Conference
Each spring, the Kent State University College of Business Administration hosts the Spirit of Women in Business Conference, an event designed to enhance the personal and professional development of today's business women. This year's keynote speakers were Amy Cuddy and Farai Chideya.
Kent State University has launched a new partnership with Zipcar, Inc., the world's leading car-sharing network, to offer a Zipcar car-sharing program on its Kent Campus. The convenient transportation option is now available at an affordable rate, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for students, faculty and staff, ages 18 and older, as well as members of the local community, ages 21 and over.
The School of Library and Information Science's recent 14,000-square-foot renovation more than doubles the school's space for teaching, research and student services.
Kent State University's Blackstone LaunchPad hosted a 24-hour "hackathon." Competing for $3,500 in prize money, area students were invited to spend the weekend developing wearable technologies at the university's Fashion School.
