Maysville Wrestler Signs with Wrestling Team

Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a Maysville High School graduating senior to their wrestling team. On June 15, Adam Warfield signed a Letter of Intent to wrestle for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles Wrestling Team.

Warfield was a four-year letter winner for the Panthers wrestling team and a two-year letter winner for soccer team. He was a district qualifier in wrestling during his junior and senior seasons, while also placing in the Muskingum Valley League (MVL) three times. He was MVL Champion his junior year and finished second in the league tourney his senior year. In soccer, he played on sectional and district championship teams.

“Adam is a great addition to our team and we are glad to have him onboard,” said Dave Schlarb, Head Wrestling Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. “An injury caused him to miss one-half of his senior year on the mat, but when he was able to throw around he was quite effective. He has been active in wrestling since the age of eight and has an impeccable work ethic. Adam will definitely help us make some noise in our first season of competition.”

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
