New Shows Announced at the Performing Arts Center

Two new shows have been added to the Performing Arts Center at Kent State University at Tuscarawas’ upcoming season. Rumours of Fleetwood Mac arrives straight from the UK on November 9 and the viral sensation Postmodern Jukebox will play on January 31. In addition, the previously announced Diamond Rio show has been rescheduled to March 28.

“We’re always looking for opportunities to bring additional shows to the Performing Arts Center,” says David Mitchell, General Manager. “Based on audience requests I’ve received in the past, I know these two shows will resonate with the community.”

Rumours of Fleetwood Mac, the world’s finest tribute to Fleetwood Mac, comes to the USA for the very first time in 2018 with a brand new show celebrating 40 years of the iconic Rumours album. Encompassing nearly five decades of legendary music and channeling the spirit of Fleetwood Mac at their very best, Rumours of Fleetwood Mac offers a unique opportunity for fans, both old and new, to rediscover the songs and performances that have ensured Fleetwood Mac’s place as one of the most loved bands of all time. Personally endorsed by Fleetwood Mac founding member, Mick Fleetwood, Rumours of Fleetwood Mac is the ultimate tribute to one of rock and roll’s most remarkable groups.

Created by Scott Bradlee, the rotating collective of Postmodern Jukebox has spent the past few years amassing more than 690 million YouTube views and 2.6 million subscribers, performed on

“Good Morning America,” topped iTunes and Billboard charts and played hundreds of shows to packed-house crowds around the world. As NPR put it, they’ve done this by “taking current Top

40 hits and re-imagining them as coming from older eras of popular music.” Yahoo! Music added, “if you’ve been on YouTube in the last couple of years, then you’re familiar with the everything new-is-old-again brilliance of the viral phenomenon known as Postmodern Jukebox.”

All three shows are available to PAC Members starting on Monday, July 16. Single tickets go on sale to the general public Monday, July 23 and can be purchased through the Performing Arts Center box office, 330.308.6400 or online at www.kent.edu/tusc/pac. The box office is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Performing Arts Center’s 2018-2019 Season is sponsored by Michael Taylor Insurance and Financial Incorporated, an Allstate Agency.
