Campus to Hold Take Back the Night

Kent State University at Ashtabula will host “Take Back the Night”, a public event focused on increasing awareness and eliminating sexual and domestic violence, on Thursday, October 18, 2018 beginning at 7 p.m. in Robert S. Morrison Hall on campus.

 

Following a brief program, all attendees will be invited to participate in a candlelight walk and tree dedication in memory of Kent State Ashtabula student Rand Al Dulaimi.

 

Students, faculty, staff and members of the community are invited to attend.  Donations of items in need will be accepted at the event for Homesafe, which provides shelter and support for women and children in abusive situations. 

The list of needed items includes, but is not limited to:

  • non-perishable food
  • toilet paper
  • paper towels
  • trash bags
  • dishwasher soap
  • laundry detergent
  • bleach
  • diapers
  • baby wipes
  • hair brushes
  • body wash
  • liquid hand soap
  • tissues
  • pajamas/slippers (children and adult)
