Allyson Tessin, Ph.D, assistant professor, specializes in biochemistry, oceanography and sedimentary geology. She is currently studying the relationship between the chemistry of the ocean and climate change. Last Dollar Scholarship and North Canton Medical Foundation team up to support nursing students

Thirteen Kent State University at Stark nursing students recently received money toward their schooling, thanks to the North Canton Medical Foundation (NCMF) and the Last Dollar Scholarship fund. The NCMF provided $5,000 in COVID-19 relief funds for nursing students struggling financially as a result of the pandemic. The Kent State Stark Rising Scholars Program continues to thrive through the final stretch of the COVID-19 pandemic.  But now, the need has never been greater to help Stark County youth move out of poverty toward a life of prosperity, explained Beth Fuciu, associate director of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement. Electronics Recycling

The 2021 E-Cycle Drive at Kent State University is open to students, faculty, staff and the Kent community. Electronics recycling will be open on March 3, 10, 17, and 24, from 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Kent State University R-17 parking lot behind Starbucks, between S. Willow and S. Lincoln streets.
