What do I need to do to enter the professional phase of the SPA major?

Students may declare their major in SPA upon entering Kent State University. Before taking advanced (junior level) SPA courses, students must apply for the professional phase of the major. The progression within the undergraduate program depends upon the student catalog year (the year the student entered Kent State University).

Students with a catalog year of 2013 and prior should apply for the professional phase of the SPA major when they have earned, or will earn by the end of the term, 45 credit hours and a GPA of at least 2.75.

FOR Peace Presence in Columbia Archive

The Fellowship of Reconciliation Peace Presence (FOR PP) first came to Colombia in 2002 at the invitation of the peace community of San José de Apartadó, which asked FOR to accompany them to deter attacks. The team then expanded to provide protective accompaniment to other organizations and communities. Over 50 accompaniers have served on the team. Many of them kept personal blogs, particularly during the time when that was popular. This digital archive includes personal blog posts from 11 different accompaniers’ blogs, as well as  posts from office staff and from the organization’s website. Some of the posts were actually reposted from other sources rather than original stories, and the collections button here separates those two types of blog entries.

All entries have full metadata and extensive tagging to aid in searching and analyzing this material. Once you have selected browse items the blog entries can be sorted with a button in the upper right by creator (blogger), title, or date. You can also see them sorted by date in under the neatline tab, which offers timelines for either all blog entries together or just the entries for each blogger. Unfortunately the timelines do not work on mobile. Under browse items you will also see a search items option which will offer better results than the all page search icon in the upper right.
