Baccalaureate
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is awarded at the completion of a four-year program including liberal arts, science, math, and nursing theory and clinical requirements. We encourage people of all backgrounds to apply for admission, as well as those seeking a second-degree and RNs returning for a BSN.

Graduate Programs

Masters
The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program prepares nurses for advanced clinical or managerial leadership roles and eligibility for national certification.  The program's graduates hold a variety of nurse practitioner (NP), clinical nurse specialist (CNS), or health care management positions in Ohio and national urban and rural settings.

The NP role concentrations are acute care, adult, family, geriatric, pediatric, adult/psychiatric-mental health, and women's health.  The CNS role may be pursued in adult, pediatric, and psychiatric-mental health (adult or child-adolescent) concentrations.

The nursing and healthcare management concentration, and the MSN and Master of Business Administrations (MSN-MBS) and the MSN and Master of Public Administration (MSN-MPA) dual-degree programs are for experienced nurses who are interested in mid-level or executive mangement positions in health services agencies or companies, or starting their own businesses.

Associate of Applied Science: Nursing
The Associate of Applied Science in Nursing is available at the Ashtabula, East Liverpool, Geuaga, and Tuscarawas campuses. Students interested in the program should apply directly to one of these campuses and meet with the director of nursing for additional application details concerning advanced placement, etc. Detailed information and requirements for admission, satisfactory progress and graduation are in the brochure for this program. A copy of the brochure may be obtained from the program director. With the successful completion of the program, graduates are awarded an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing and are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
