The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is awarded at the completion of a four-year program including liberal arts, science, math, and nursing theory and clinical requirements. We encourage people of all backgrounds to apply for admission, as well as those seeking a second-degree and RNs returning for a BSN.

Accelerated Program (Kent Campus only)
The Accelerated BSN Program at Kent State University College of Nursing is a 4 semester intense academic program that prepares previously degreed students to successfully complete the NCLEX licensure exam and practice as an RN. Students who complete the Accelerated BSN program are prepared to begin an advanced degree in nursing program or MSN.The accelerated BSN Program at Kent State University College of Nursing recognize that students with previous degrees and life experiences have different learning needs than those who are in their first degree program. Students are, therefore, admitted to the Accelerated Program as a cohort, and take classes and progress through the program as a cohort. Students are selected to the program based upon their overall GPA, science GPA, and submitted writings. Deadlines for each application are as follows:
Fall Cohort -June 15th
Spring Cohort -October 15th

RN-BSN
The RN/BSN degree completion program at Kent State University College of Nursing provides the opportunity for graduates of Associate Degree and Diploma nursing programs to build on previously learned knowledge and skills while completing a Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree.
All nursing courses are web-based, designed for the busy and varied schedules of the registered nurse. The RN/BSN program prepares the registered nurse to pursue a graduate degree in nursing. Here what the RN/BSN program at Kent State University College of Nursing can offer you:

- Full-time and part-time flexible scheduling
- Ability to take up to 5 graduate credits while earning your BSN

RN-BSN/MSN
Students who meet requirements for admission to the graduate nursing program, may apply to the Graduate College and enroll in selected graduate courses while completing the last two semesters of the requirements for the BSN degree.
