Students for Professional Nursing (SPN)

Students for Professional Nursing (SPN) is a University Organization, whose focus is the promotion of professional nursing goals. 
 
Membership is open to all students interested in nursing. Applications for membership are available at the College of Nursing
 
SPN committees include:

Plans and organizes programs to inform the university and community of health promotion, wellness and illness prevention. Projects include; the University Health Fair, blood drives, blood pressure screening, and the Special Olympics.

Presents extra-educational programs based on the interest of students and correlated with current trends in professional nursing. Also travels to regional campuses to present SPN and National Nursing Student Association (NSNA).

Plans and organizes social events. 
yellowbullet Fundraising
Raises money to benefit the organization, the college, and to aid people in attending nursing student conventions. 
 
National Student Nurses Association (NSNA)

The local affiliates of the Ohio Nursing Student Association and the National Student Nurses Association are a committee within SPN. This provides an opportunity to discover what professional organizations are all about. You can help plan the state or national convention, write to the ONSA newsletter, and/or write and present resolutions to be discussed by the national organization. There are scholarship opportunities, discounts on books and journals, and a national magazine, IMPRINT. Dues for this organization are paid to NSNA.
