Home of Nurse Leaders, Today and Tomorrow
Kent State University College of Nursing is the largest, most comprehensive nursing program in Ohio with a worldwide network of more than 12,000 alumni. We have one of the largest nursing programs in the nation, and have graduated over 43 percent of the nursing workforce in Northeast Ohio.
Our College is proud to have graduates who have gone on to become nursing leaders throughout Ohio and the world. Kent State nurses have been elevating the standards for nursing and health care for nearly 50 years. Yet, even with their busy careers and families, our nurses still manage to make it back to campus at every opportunity.
Being a Kent State nurse means being a member of a lifelong community. In hospitals, at conferences and in communities across the world, discovering a fellow Kent State Nurse brings an instant connection and understanding. Our Alumni Web site is devoted to reconnecting our nurses from across the globe.
Keep the Tradition Going
With a nationwide shortage of RNs, a rapidly growing elderly population, changes in the health care delivery system, and breakthrough technological advances, there is a greater demand than ever for nurses with a solid scientific background and specialized skills.
Today’s nurses impact the delivery of health care through direct patient care, education, research, technology, informatics, administration and business leadership. Nursing is truly a passport to a diverse future filled with unlimited career potential.
At Kent State, we are preparing our students to be tomorrow’s health care leaders.
When you make a contribution to the College of Nursing, you are enabling us to provide scholarships to students; recruit and retain quality faculty; create a state-of-the-art learning environment; and expand cutting-edge, interdisciplinary and international research. You are helping to create the next generation of nursing professionals. Thank you for your generosity.
