- Current & Future Students
Students are required to maintain documentation pertaining to clinical requirements and to produce required document on demand by the clinical agencies or the College of Nursing.
Students who do not comply with clinical requirements will not be permitted to attend clinical coursework and may result in course failure.
Students are required to maintain sealed copies of their criminal background checks from both the State of Ohio (BCI&I) and Federal Government (FBI). Out-of-state students may also be required to obtain a background check from their home state.
Clinical agencies may require that you submit sealed copies of your criminal background checks prior to the clinical course or on the first day of clinical. It is the student’s responsibility to produce proper documentation.
The Attorney General of the State of Ohio’s website contains a searchable list of locations at which students can obtain a criminal background check. Students can also complete their background checks on the Kent Campus at the Instructional Resource Center in 221 White Hall.
