The Center for Nursing Research

The Center for Nursing Research at Kent State University operates to assist the scholarly endeavors of faculty researchers. The nature of faculty research is highly complex and involves intra-and interdisciplinary attention and collaboration with those in health care and related disciplines. As such, nursing research investigates many different facets of clinical research problems in a variety of clinical and nonclinical settings.  It is a goal of the Center for Nursing Research to facilitate such cooperative scientific endeavors.

The Center for Nursing Research formalizes the College of Nursing faculty's commitment to research as a major responsibility of the profession and provides an environment for faculty and students to be productive. In addition, the Center facilitates the operationalization of the belief of the College of Nursing faculty that research provides a natural bridge between practice and education for the generation and utilization of nursing knowledge.
