As a Nurse Researcher, I am interested in identifying effective personalized self-care for chronic illness and oncology patients.  My research projects have been associated with detecting risk factors to rehospitalizations, and survival and prognostic outcome measures among patient populations with chronic lung disease in hospitals and community, particularly those people with health disparities. My ultimate goal is to build evidence-based nursing practice by better understanding strategies that improve self-care in patients transitioning from a healthcare facility to their home.
