Whether you are nearing graduation or just beginning nursing school, the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics has many exciting opportunities available to New Graduate Nurses and Nursing Students.  Below I have included some information to introduce you to some of these opportunities.

Nurse Residency Program:
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation!  Our Nurse Residency Program at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics offers an exceptional start to your career. The program includes guided classroom and clinical experiences to prepare you for the successful and challenging career that awaits you. Our Post-Baccalaureate Nurse Residency program is part of a national Nurse Residency Program created by leaders from AACN and UHC.  For further information on our program please visit www.uwhealth.org/nurseresidency. Because of the high level of interest in this program, I encourage you to apply before the deadlines.  The deadline for applications are:

        Nurse Residency Program - Summer 2012 isDecember 1, 2011      
        Nurse Residency Program - January 2012 is November 1, 2011
       
Application materials received by the deadline will receive primary consideration for selection into the Nurse Residency Program.  Applications received after the deadline will be reviewed for admission based on continued program openings.

Student Nurse Assistant:
Student Nurse Assistants have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of nursing in a hands-on environment. In order to qualify for an SNA position, you must currently be enrolled in a School of Nursing, have completed one semester of clinical, and have a current CPR Certification.  Applications are accepted on a continual basis, based on need.

How to apply for  SNA opportunities:
To be considered for this position you must complete the following steps:

1. Complete the on-line application, found at https://careers.uwhealth.org/candidate/index.html

You can quickly find this position by going to the "Advanced Search".

For the Student Nurse Assistant, enter "Student Nurse" in the "Keyword" field.
