Melissa Dyer, MBA, MSN, RN

I am a Registered Nurse with 17 years of experience. I am a Kent State alum and College of Nursing Associate Lecturer and Course Coordinator. My clinical background is in Obstetrics. I have worked in the labor and delivery, high risk perinatal, mother/ baby, reproductive endocrinology, infertility, outpatient fetal evaluation, and in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit settings. Prior to teaching, I worked in hospital administration. I lobby and advocate for health care policy issues and led nurses as a hospital administrator. I have taught a variety of courses and currently teach Parent Newborn Nursing, Health Care Policy, Leadership. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Health Policy at Kent State University. I have served as an American Delegate to China to study that country’s education and healthcare systems and am currently an Education Leadership Policy Fellow.
